The prosthetics are made in our in-house laboratory. Our dental implants mimic natural teeth to such an extent that the differences are barely noticeable.

Sufficient jawbone is a requirement for placing implants. Jawbone loss can be restored with autologous or foreign bone grafting materials as part of a surgical bone augmentation.

The All-on-4 ™ procedure allows for a full arch of teeth to be supported by just four strategically placed implants. Even for seemingly hopeless and supposedly therapy-resistant cases with severe bone loss, there are options for implant-supported dentures. So-called Zygoma implants are placed in the cheekbone and provide stability for the dentures despite the barely existing jawbone.

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots, typically made from biocompatible materials like titanium or ceramic. They are surgically inserted into the jawbone and subsequently fitted with dental prosthetics. These implants offer a modern solution for almost all cases of tooth loss.

Almost anyone with missing teeth can benefit from dental implants. However, a sufficient amount of jawbone is essential for the secure placement of the implant. If the existing bone is inadequate, bone augmentation procedures can be performed to restore it. In cases of significant bone loss, alternative implant systems, such as zygomatic implants anchored in the cheekbone, can be utilized.

This treatment involves placing four (or six in certain cases) dental implants strategically in the jaw, which serve as anchors for a full dental prosthesis.

Zygoma implants

Zygoma implants are specialized dental implants designed to utilize alternative bone areas in the facial region, essentially bypassing the jawbone area. These implants are specifically shaped, usually longer, and are used in cases where traditional implants are not feasible due to significant bone loss.

Patients with severe jawbone loss, especially in the molar area of the upper jaw, are prime candidates for Zygoma implants. These implants offer a solution for those who might otherwise require extensive bone grafting procedures.

Bone augmentation

The implant must be surrounded by bone at least 2 mm thick. If there’s insufficient jawbone, a surgical reconstruction of the jawbone might be necessary before implantation.

Therefore, bone augmentation, also known as bone grafting, is a crucial procedure for patients with significant jawbone loss, that aims to increase the volume of the jawbone, ensuring a stable foundation for dental implants.

The process involves taking bone graft material, either from the patient's body, a donor, or synthetic sources, and grafting it onto the existing jawbone. Over time, the grafted material will fuse with the natural bone, creating a larger, more stable base for the implant. The gold standard in grafting materials is the patient's bone. However, the type of material ultimately used depends on the extent and nature of the augmentation. These bone substitute materials serve to stimulate the body to produce new bone tissue.

Modern Zygoma implants can be used even in severe cases of jaw atrophy. These special implants are placed in bone areas outside the jawbone, which are very stable and make dentures without bone augmentation possible. They usually allow immediate loading with dentures and the treatment time is short.

External Sinus Lift

A sinus lift compensates for a low jaw height in the rear upper jaw area, with an external sinus lift building more volume than an internal one.

Bone Apposition
and Bone Widening

Bone chips or bone substitute materials are placed directly on the bone to close smaller defects. If the bone is tall enough but too narrow, it can be widened through "Bone Spreading" or "Bone Splitting."

Socket Preservation

Right after the loss of a single tooth, the empty tooth socket is filled with bone substitute material to maintain the contour of the jawbone.

Bone Block Transplantation

Bone blocks can close even larger defects. For this, bone is obtained, for example, from the patient's oral cavity or pelvic crest.
